SMOTJ Former OSMTH (Regency)
H.S.E Dom Luis Roseira P.R. M.M.
On 18th September 2008 at a meeting in Oporto Portugal held by the Princes of the former OSMTH (Regency), H.S.E. F Fontes P.R. M.M. by a unanimous decision was retired due to ill health and replaced by his Deputy H.S.E Luis Roseira as Prince Regent of the OSMTH (Regency).
Members of the former OSMTH regency were given the option of re-applying for membership of the Order to remove Freemasons from the Order. The result being that many former members removed themselves from the Regency and now continue under the title of OSMTH (International) or OSMTH (Association). To distinguish the difference from the Former OSMTH (Regency) and these newly created Orders H.S.E. Luis Roseira and the Princes of the Order removed the name OSMTH from their Titles and now use SMOTJ to minimise confusion and affiliate with the Scottish Knight Templars as a united Order (They retain their OSMTH history which may be reused at a future date).
